The pictures are very good and the finished projects are quite lovely. I really liked the photography, and the fact that the book covered the fashions of the middle and working class folks, as well as that of their high born betters. While I am not the fashion buff, as a history lover what people wore, ate, the music they listened to, the art they appreciated are oft times far more important that what battle was fought when. The book gives real-world practical advice for putting yourself out there and getting your work into the hands of buyers.
