I really enjoyed reading this book; overall, it is a good book if you are studying global merchandising or retail. His personality definitely comes through in the book and it is not a detriment. Im a practical person and by no means a "doomsday prepper" or one of those people just waiting for the other shoe to drop. It's an OK read---not the best biography I have read by a long shot---but the primary reason I would urge people NOT to read it is because it is out of date. Some good info not much new info but worth readingMonroe does a god job. "Hope for Humanity" is an important book. In fact Hollick and Connelly suggest that there have been two such periods of mitigation, the second one in the modern age which has seen the end of most institutionalised slavery (though pockets remain) and in the rising status, at least in the west, for women. What a nice bedtime book for my 4 year old! It's beautiful - the illustration
