I buy a lot of craft books and have to agree with the other reviewer that this is one of the worst I've seen. The book gives real-world practical advice for putting yourself out there and getting your work into the hands of buyers. Sometimes disturbing but always ridiculously readable. These gems of wisdom, insight, and encouragement are organized in twenty-one chapters under the broad themes of conservation science and practice, conservation policy, conservation and culture. Wish I'd bought it when I first heard about Alyson, but glad I have it now, as it moves me to action every time I pick it up - if there had been a book like this when I started out to be an artist in the late 70"s, it might be in its tenth revision (things have changed so much!) but it would still be my most valuable business resource!Marianne Hornbuckle, painter/sculptor.
