Cook does not disappoint with her content choices in this book and it really helped my children and my class have an open and honest conversation about tattling.. There are many lessons for our time in this book and it's easy to tell that Durham's previous novels were historical in nature and it's difficult not to draw parallels between the current state of affairs in the world and this story.This is a dynamite novel (in any genre) and if Durham is able to hold true to his vision in the future 'Acacia' books this is well on it's way to becoming classic literature. I was very excited to read “Body of the Crime: A Chip Palmer Forensic Mystery” because I really enjoyed reading “Silent Partner: A California Police K9 Story” by Jennifer Chase. It's hard to encapsulate everything that the 18th century was into a single volume, but as far as fashion goes, this book gives a darn good try.
