This is a book that focuses more on the professional, even though some of these techniques can be applied by the average person. Another plus for featuring the BMI which is under the Nutrition section. It is almost self contained. a great introduction to ecological economics. This one is anything but. Anyone can understand what he is saying. Durham has taken the real world sophistication that Martin added to the genre and brought something new to the table. Just like Martin before him, he understands that fantasy needs to grow and change. Nevertheless, Renardy and Rogers succeed in introducing the most important concepts and explaining their interrelations, so that alltogether, the book provides the reader with the background necessary for diving safely into the more advanced literature on the subject.It was a pleasure for me to read the book, and after nearly four years of work in PDEs, it is still my reference of choice. This is NOT a textbook -- no sample problems to work on or anything like that -- and it will be difficult to fully grasp the concepts unless the reader has had some math experience (ie.
